Introduction
The Association of Conflict, Peace and Security Experts in Africa (ACPSEA) is a continental professional body dedicated to advancing expertise, research, and practice in conflict management, peacebuilding, dispute resolution, and security studies across Africa.
ACPSEA was registered in June 2025 under the Professional Bodies Registration Act, 1973 (Act 143) in Ghana as a recognized professional association with a mandate to operate across the African continent. The association was officially unveiled on 10th March 2026, marking the formal launch of a continental platform for professionals committed to sustainable peace, conflict prevention, and security governance in Africa.
ACPSEA brings together practitioners, scholars, mediators, arbitrators, peacebuilders, policy analysts, security experts, and institutions working to address Africa’s complex conflict and security challenges through professional collaboration, knowledge sharing, and ethical standards.
Legal Status
The Association of Conflict, Peace and Security Experts in Africa (ACPSEA) is:
- A registered professional body under the Professional Bodies Registration Act, 1973 (Act 143).
- Established to operate across African countries and collaborate with international institutions.
- Governed by a constitution adopted by its founding members.

Establishment
ACPSEA was established by a group of African experts and practitioners in conflict resolution, peacebuilding, dispute resolution, and security management under the leadership of Mr. Isaac Asare, the Founder recognizing the need for:
- A continental professional network for Conflict, Peace and Security Experts in Africa
- Standardisation of professional practice
- Capacity building for practitioners
- African-led policy solutions to conflicts
The association was formally unveiled on 10th March 2026, bringing together stakeholders from academia, security institutions, policy organizations, civil society, and dispute resolution institutions.
